Well, I have no idea what you are doing with your phone but I personally use it as a portable media player (yes, that is, quite frankly, what I primarily use it for). I use it to watch videos, specially musicvideos, all the time. On the bus, trains, in the bathtub, in bed and so on.

If I need to do actual work then I prefer the laptop or the desktop if I'm home. No way I'm going to type some C++ program or e-mail on a phone, that's just silly.

While it's true that most people use their phones for shit like facebook and other forms of "entertainment", I rarely see people watching videos on a phone. And I think that ratios between 1:1 and 3:2 are better for anything other than videos and 16:9 photos

Kek, this is exactly the opposite use cases of most people I know. People that read digital books do so on their laptop/desktop or on an ereader or tablet, but people watch videos on their phones plenty of times.
