Can computer hardware get "fat" and die? That is to say, can they get bloated with so much software that they practically die of a heart attack.
>>
sure
>>
no, computer hardware has no heart
>>
windows seems to do this
>>
Yes, this is why hard drives way more when full than empty
>>
>>59630521
That's a good attitude!
>>
>>59630400
is that guy the arch linux creator?
>>
>>59630400
This tendency of anthropomorphizing everything is why we have furries. Fuck you.
>>
>>59630636
Fucking kek

Someone add the Arch logo to his shirt please.
>>
Not since Windows 98.
>>
>>59630759
Are there GPU furries?
>>
Not with modern day hardware.

When data packets travel through hardware, they do not travel on their own. Data packets are "pumped". If the "pump" is weak, some data packets get deposited along the walls of the transmission lines (internally or externally). This is the reason we get packet loss on occasion. If the pump continues to be weak, data deposits accumulate over time, leading to a line blockage in severe cases. So yes, literally a hardware heart attack.

If you are worried about transmission line blockage, you can always "flush" the lines. Keep your data packets light and clean, by abstaining from pornography or writing ill-mannered messages on the interwebs. Take a look at pictures of oats and healthy vegetables on the web, or store some of these pictures on your hardware. The healthy data packets from these images will slowly wash away the accumulated packet deposits along the walls of the transmission lines. You can also dissassemble your PC, and take out some of the wires, and gently squeeze them (always from the positive end to the negative end) to help dislodge the stuck data packets. This is only temporary, and should only be used in emergencies.

Also: THIS is why we tell people to invest in a healthy PSU! The PSU is the heart of the PC! It will always pump packets well.

this is fud

red leds and cable risers accomplish the same thing
>>
>>59631913
Johnson et al debunked the "red LEDs can help with packet loss" myth in 2015. Why are we still debating this?
>>
>>59630521
They actually do. Some scientists measured it.

Yep.

There was a thing in the Los Angeles Metro area where the Lakers cheerleaders would go to a Carls Jr location. Americans had the opportunity to get their pictures taken with the Lakers' girls after they ate a fast food meal. They went to several locations, and several people visited the Laker girls at every location they went to.
