How can I send a file to a printer on a remote network without a physical connection?
I moved into an apartment in my parent's detached garage. The printer is in the house on a separate LAN. I want to be able to use it without moving the file to a different PC.

There are ways to connect to a private network through the internet, but I don't now how

Either use a WiFi printer connected to the parents Lan or do that print through the Internet thing that most new printers let you do

OP here. I'm trying to connect to it over the internet. I suppose that should have been better specified in the OP post.
The router on the printer's LAN is not close enough, nor would I be able to connect to it anyway as my desktop does not have wireless capabilities.

standard way:
enable network printing on the printer, make note of what port it uses
next, look at the MAC of the printer in the router and assign it a static IP
next, make a port forwarding rule on your parent's router that forwards that port traffic to the printer IP address
use some type of authentication so you don't get people printing dick pics on your parent's machine
easier (botnet) way:
enable cloud print in chrome on one of your parent's computers and on yours
easier (botnet way):
use some remote desktop protocol with printer sharing (teamviewer, x2go )linux), I think MS RDP)
easier (stealth) way:
run an openvpn program on your parent's router or on one of their computers and vpn into their network and access the printer directly
easier (linux) way:
ssh tunnel and forward CUPS port
there are 100 other ways but these are the major ones
