I've kept my aging desktop PC on life-support for about a year now, and I think it's time I finally put the old girl out to pasture and bought a new system. It's been a few years since I shopped for a computer and I'm a little out of the loop. Is Newegg still where the cool kids go or is there a newer, better game in town?

Yeah pretty much. Build AM4 pc. That shit will have new cpus for like 4 years at least. One of the best reasons to buy ryzen imo. Meanwhile lga1151 is almost dead.

They used to do it to Jew, now they kind of have to with everything moved to the cpu. M.2 x2 has different lanes that x4 for example. And soon x8 is coming.
