What does the future hold? Is AI going to evolve into some kind of skynet. Will we be directly connected to the internet via some brain/internet interface at some point? Will we regular consumers be given access to future technologies, or will only the rich horde it? Will today's ways of thinking be left in the dirt?

No, even if we could create 1 to 1 AI that is just like humans, they wouldn't act like a single entity.

There's no fucking way humans accept computers inside their bodies in that way for no reason for at least 200 or more years, it's going to take a shitload of suggestion to get people to do that, even the normiest of normies can understeand the risks that implies.

Why would the rich horde technology? I mean, other than things that shouldn't be out in the public like hypotetical inmortality, most tech companies know it's more profitable to sell 1$ products to 1 million people than to sell a single 1000$ product to a few priviledged few.
