So I received an old thinkpad R40 from a friend's dad yesterday, and it ended up that he was fucking around with it and set a system boot password. Us there any possible way to remove it and make it usable again?
>R40
Into the trash it goes
You have to disconnect some shit from the motherboard, google it.

Remove the CMOS battery, that'll erase the BIOS settings.

I've removed the bios battery already, and it still appears. It's a power on password.

I bought an x330t, but I still wanna use this one. It's in near perfect condition and still holds a long charge.

And would that clear the power in password??

Is it the 2682CAG?
User the Omega drivers instead of the stock ATi drivers if you have the 16MB model.
