Here me out on this one and explain why it's a shitty idea no ones done before.
>Be Linux distro
>leave a persistent windows VM running in the background
>VM is hibernated like when you close your laptop, to not waste system resources
>when you double click on an exe file, the distro will awaken the VM and use it to install/run the software
It won't bridge the performance gap of running exe files on windows or Linux, but it will help massively with the compatibility gap, right?
So why hasn't this been done yet?

i believe its wine based and for some reason comes preinstalled on deepin. works pretty well from my experience at least with halo ce and photoshop. still nowhere near "just werks"
