So on my desktop I have a USB wifi adapter. It's has broken over the years, the USB connector has to be re-soldered. So I was thinking of buying a PCI card, but the last time I had a PCI card it always ran hot as fuck. Is buying a PCI wifi card worth it or should I buy another shit usb adapter?

Well, desu, I'm a retard. I NEED to use the metered connection in Windows10 and as far as I know, that only works with a wifi connection. I CAN connect via ethernet but then Jewdose10 will download updates automatically. Fuck. I'm thinking of switching back to linux and just VM to play vidya. Only reason why I'm on W10 is to play vidya.

Personally I haven't really experienced a benefit of a wifi card via a usb dongle. t b h I feel like the usb dongle worked better.
