IVONA won some awards a few years ago, but if you want emotional inflection or something I'd see if there isn't some Jap shit for that - they do make vocaloids after all.

IVONA is good enough. Mostly I just want it to read text like a narrator. Doesn't have to be too emotional. I was just wondering how far they got considering there was some adobe stuff I think not too long ago where they could fake the voice of a person if they had a long enough voice sample. Also the stuff they use for public transit is pretty good, but apparently it's custom made.
