>Buy a pre-built Dell computer 10 years ago
>Comes with the standard rubberdome keyboard
>Keyboard has lasted me 10 years and looks as good as the day I got it.
>No faded keys, all the keys are responsive and working fine.
>Buy a $100 mechanical keyboard
>Keys fade after a year
>Have to buy PBT doubleshot caps
>Now my spacebar makes an annoying noise because it might not fit right

What the h*ck? How can a throw-in keyboard from Dell that probably costs $2 to make have better quality than a keyboard that probably made 10 times as much?

>remove mechanical keyboard cap
>see mechanical switch

>muh dell quality

The fuck are you on, crack?
What keyboard is it, what caps did you get? Probably something you are the blame of, cheapskate keyboard with knockoff 0-tier caps? Wouldn't stun me as you clearly aren't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I'll agree that rubber dome last pretty long, no matter what brand, though my IBM Model M and my Ducky One still works fine to this day. You bought doubleshot caps that doesn't fit is the fault of the keycap manufacturer.

I got a Dell kb and mouse in 2009. Like five keys on the kb broke within six months and the mouse couldn't hold a click for more than a second after a year.
