I just can't do the on-screen keyboard. It's irritating to spell literally every single word incorrectly.
I like the tactile response when I'm typing, even if my phone would be chunkier.

Posting from a Droid 4. I'd switch to a new phone with a keyboard if there was a decent option.

There's a crowdfunding campaign for a Moto Z slider keyboard mod. It sounds amazing but we don't know if it'll turn out good or not so I'm not betting on that yet.

Blackberry keyone sounds good but afaik their os is locked so I'm not sure about that

No one supported non-english characters, so it just didn't work. Imagine holding A every time you want to make Ą. There should be right alt.
And it only would work well for Polish (we use standard qwerty with right alt) since some countries use their own versions of keyboards with umlauts and accents, no one would produce different keyboard for each language.

But I had Xperia Pro and thanks to rooted CM I remapped some keys to right alt and ctrl and added some characters. It was miracle writing on it. I had to change two system files.

Most apps don't even support landscape mode and you end up typing sideways. I have a Motorola photon Q running LineageOS 13 but it's useless for most things.
