Make your own with a raspberrypi

Your essentially just trusting another company to have full access to your internet history since there's no way for you, yourself, to verify that they don't keep logs other than their word
>>
Since I have ProtonMail Plus I get ProtonVPN for free (for now anyway).
>>
>>59547650
you are fucking retarded if you think a vpn is going to keep you safe from the government
>>
>>59548180
This doesn't help OP at all since he doesn't trust his ISP. Which mostly just proves you're not competent enough to run or use a VPN at all.
>>
Proud Trump voter here...

He's doing more damage then I anticipated. I didn't expect him to burn the whole fucking thing down in months.

This kind of damage usually takes years.
>>
>>59548322
This is the reason some of us voted for him though. Rather burn the whole shit down than hand it permanently to the establishment.
>>
>>59548369

>>
>>59548369
nothing is burning down except the legitimacy of the government. which means that comcast and google and amazon will now rule the country. good job.

Hey dumb, kinda related question here.
If I want to use TOR and a VPN, does it make a difference whether I connect to the VPN throughtTOR or if I connect to TOR through the VPN?
If it does, which option is better?

I swear the alt-right are the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet.
>>
>>59550002
A lot of the bullshit politics does, including this, really could create jobs.
But it doesn't because that would be a middleman for lining the pockets of the upper echelon that pushed these bills in the first place.
Basically, why get only part of a paycheck from more average joe workers when you can just get the full amount.

If the reason I want a VPN is because I don't trust my own ISP / gubmint, then how is hosting a VPN on a server in my home going to help? And if using a VPS, how can I trust that THEY aren't keeping logs on what I do on that server?

>>
>>59552347
Right, but if the ISP watches the packet go from A to B they can still figure it out. Obviously what's on that packet is still encrypted, and the packet is probably unlikely to stay on one ISPs tubes the entire time.
VPN is clearly better than nothing though.

Here's how I figure it:

VPN -> TOR
In this case the VPN provider knows that you're using TOR. He knows your actual IP, but not the shit you're doing. Your ISP knows you're using a VPN, but not that you're using TOR.

TOR -> VPN
Here the VPN provider doesn't know your IP, but he knows that it is the same you anyway (as in your login/password). Your ISP knows you're using TOR and your IP.

Neither of those is true. It will not cease, you will simply receive a letter recommend you cease and desist. As far as analysing the data goes, it's pretty easy to determine true browsing from fake calls.
