Also doesn't have FM radio and the battery life doesn't seem very good (which is the most important thing when I'm off grid for up to couple weeks). At that TomTop price it seems like a pretty good deal though and it would be fast shipping from UK.

I think Benjie S5 had some decent reviews on Head-Fi too. I might get one Ruizu X02 for testing along with something else, they are pretty cheap at least. I take it there are no cheap microSD cards available at the moment.

I also got myself this very cheap 4 port USB hub.

It identifies as GenesysLogic and it works fine with USB 3.0 speeds though using an external HDD with this hub appears to be slightly slower than using it when it's plugged in directly. Still, it's a USB 3.0 hub. And it works.

The rather expensive ORICO HA4U-U3 from Orico's official AliExpress store arrived.

THIS HUB DOES NOT WORK WITH USB 3. NO. IT'S A PIECE OF TRASH. This hub works fine when plugged into a USB 2 port but it goes USB bus errors when plugged into *any* USB 3 port.

The chipset on this piece of trash reads as RealTek when plugged into a USB 2 port.

I'm actually not sure what to do with this, I have never before been such unhappy with my chink shit. And this hub is literally shit. I just got this so I haven't logged into Chink Express yet. I should probably demand the refund for this piece of garbage. I can post screenshots of the dmesg errors it spews out when I connect it if anyone is interested. And it's not that it gives errors if a lot of stuff is plugged into it or something, no, just plug this hub into a USB 3 port with nothing connected and it gives the wall of errors.

I too thought that ORICO had good things, they appear to be proud of their brand and have their own stores and their products are generally more expensive than the no-name things.

I ordered this ORICO 2139U3 HDD enclosure. I just tested it with the HDD from when I replaced my laptop's with a SSD and this works just fine. Appears to max out that drives speed too.

That ORICO HA4U-U3 HUB on the other hand just doesn't work at all. Stupid piece of junk.

Interestingly mine only seems to have USB 2.0 on one port, the rest are detected as 1.0. Otherwise its OK, best part of these is their external power socket so can offload power draw. Also I don't have USB 3.0 anyway, hah.
