Also, there are fuckloads of recovery images to repair/reinstall MBR or just update grub to show current OSes

reinstall Linux. The GRUB reinstallation process will find your Winblows and put it in a list.

Insert a windows installation disk and boot into it
Go into the advanced repair options and select cmd
Enter the following command "bootrec.exe /fixmbr"
