1800x is perfect, since you'll edit video and assuming you're gonna game at a high resolution it'll never bottleneck. But as always consider the 1700 for similar performance for much less $

Skip the CD drive and consider 2 sticks of ram.

OP here, I fell asleep and didn't order anything. Still on the fence about it this morning considering the split of opinions in this thread.

Also, I prefer Gigabyte motherboards but I don't mind other ones.

Get something cheap and wait for Vega.
