yeah but it's being improved over the years and can support 990 kbps audio with sony LDAC

Not as long as you have aptx, which is spreading to most BT headphones/earbuds. Even cheap ones like my $30 Q12 earbuds have it.

Basically stereo audio from your phone is transcoded to 352kbps stereo aptx with very low latency. I use wired and BT earbuds and both sound the same to me.
