git pro here. a branch is just a reference to a commit in the history. so the best way for you to hide this is to delete the master branch and create it again (pointing to the last commit).
if you don't have permission to do this, next best thing is to rewrite the git history of the branch you're on. basically rebase and reword the commit message and force push it to master. this will definitely cause the branch to go out-of-sync for everyone else though which will raise suspicions
