That actually look usable. And like the Windows 7 menu. I like it.

One thing I don't like is how the minimized window don't have a different color/border then the task bar itself. Or any other feature that says "i'm a window!" Just text. That's weird.

Try it out in a VM or live USB. Solus is a pretty nice distro overall. What amazes me though is how bloated mate is compared to budgie.
