Overall it's a pretty good phone, especially considering that I got it for $250. It would be almost perfect if the battery was slightly larger, the display was AMOLED, and it had 4gb of ram instead of 3.

Do any of you have a Samsung Galaxy S7 that can chime in?

Ironically, on the one year anniversary of the phone, it began to act weird. Let me get this out of the way... No, I did NOT do anything different. I understand people complain just to realize it was their fault. I did not do anything differently. At all.

It's began to run slower. The camera takes a lot longer to launch and take photos. Furthermore, when pressing on the gallery icon in the camera, it won't open. It's just been acting weird in general. I thought that a restart would fix it, but nothing changed. The fingerprint scanner is not working most of the times now. It used to work perfectly and I always use it in the same position. When it does work, it takes a long time to unlock the phone.

It's probably time for a factory reset anyway, but I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this. I have done nothing differently. Did not change any settings, did not install anything, nothing.

The S7 Edge and iPhone 7 Plus have the same screen sizes friendo, it just doesn't seem that way as the S7 Edge's screen is curved. But petty corrections aside, my ideal screen is 5.7-5.8 inches as I'm blind in one eye and have extremely poor eyesight.

Battery was only ok when I first got it, it's pretty poor now. Idle is average, but heavy browsing and games take a chunk of battery life. I've been using my phone pretty much non-stop browsing for just under 2 hours and it's at 50% (using only mobile data/wifi and brightness low.) Also the GPS seems to a little off at times.

I only got this phone for less than a week and there so much I hate about this.
1. fast charging
2. heat easily while playing games online.
3. no gyroscope, can't watch the vr blowjob hehe
4. so little custom rom, I checked on xda and too many of them want to roll back to Marshmallow after updating to Nougat
5. shit battery life. seriously. you need power bank with this device.
6. only 16gb internal. yeah there's sd card but it takes the slot for sim2.
7. there is two bottom speaker grill but only one actually produce sound. officially confirmed.
8. huge huawei logo at the bottom.
9. heat very easily. did I mentioned it? like super hot its uncomfortable to hold even with case. you have to enter ultra saving mode for a few minutes to cool it down.
10. you have to root it to enable "double tap to wake up".

But I really happy and grateful to have this as this is a gift from my girlfriend. Definitely ugrade from S3, actually any mid range phone these day is an upgrade. I don't think this phone will last as long as my s3 because battery not removeable. I'm grateful and not being a brat but I don't recommend this phone at all. You can get a lot better phone with the same amount.
>>
Had Redmi Note 3, but my stupidness managed to erase the IMEIs and MACs... and I threw out the box (no, there isn't a sticker with both IMEIs and MACs, only IMEI 1, which meant nothing), got a second hand One M7. Happy with the quaily build of the phone, size and the screen. But the battery went to shit and no matter which ROM I put on it, it's fucking up (random restarts due to kernel panics, even stock ROM). Don't have money for a new oe ATM. And I want a black S7 Edge so badly... FML

I bought 3 on Aliexpress, one of the sellers had put some kind of botnet infested bloatyshit on 2 of them, gave it a iphone-ish look and spied on me. Put lineage on it and now it's basically perfect.

One very long crack in the screen, only visible from an angle.
I don't know if I love anything about it, it is a phone.
The screen is a tad bigger than what I would like, the jack is on the wrong end of the phone.
The phone doesn't vibrate or anything when you turn the phone off by pressing the power button for too long (the button had a phase where it got stuck and randomly shut the phone off and there was no warning).

Try doing a factory reset on the phone. That's what I did to my T989d (S2 variant) before I gave it to my mom (upgraded to OnePlus One), it was having all sorts of problems and they all magically went away after flashing. It's been working fine for her since 2014 now.

I wish the same could be said for my OnePlus One. No amount of flashing and upgrades seem to be able to save it now.

>How long you've had it
Since December 2013, so just over 3 years now

>Condition
Pretty beat up at this point. I'm not especially careful with things

>What you love about it
Pretty durable and stands up to abuse. The design is pleasing and has aged well. The screen is still bright and has not suffered from OLED burn in, and best of all it's 4.7 inches, which is the perfect size. I can't figure out why these kinds of phones have gone extinct.

>What you hate about it
The storage is very limited- 16GB was not a lot in 2013 and it is even less now. No SD card expansion slot. Battery is not user replaceable and was a total pain in the ass to change. OS updates stopped with Android 5.1 (could be solved using a custom ROM but I am lazy). And it is slow as all hell with everything; Snapchat is especially infuriating but even web browsing is sluggish. It was not a high end phone when new, performance was decent when new, but it is just not keeping up.

I've thought of buying a newer phone with expandable storage, but I hate how big they've all gotten, and my 2nd gen iPod touch is better at being a music player than any music app I've seen for Android. I might just get an iPhone SE but I don't really like iOS.

Bootloop issues(inevitable)
Battery life is decent. I only have to charge in the middle of the day and I can last the whole day.
2 gigs of RAM do show

I switched back to Android and decided the pixel was a disappointment so got the 5x to last me until the Pixel 2 comes out or the next OnePlus. Life expectancy for the 5x is about 1-1.5 years so if it does bootloop on me I should have the next phone by then. Otherwise this is probably my favorite phone so far. I've owned the Nexus 6P but it felt too fragile and bigger phones became too cumbersome for me.

I also get about 4h SOT, I come back home with at least 30% every single day. Also IR blaster, stellar audio quality.

>Hate the fucking SD Card permissions or whatever the fuck it is that doesn't let Shuttle delete songs from it; front camera is also very ass and the fingerprint sensor is useless because it's on the front, but other than that, it's really a tremendous phone that I'll definitely be holding on to the next few years.

I had changed a lot of phones in the past 3 years, and this is the only one that I can really recommend to everyone. Say what you will about Samsung, but they make high quality durable products.

Note 4
Since release (2.5 years)
It's still holding up fine; nothing's broken--ever. I've only ever had to replace dying batteries. There's a little burn-in, but it's not too much of a problem.

Pros:
1. Screen
2. Smart pen
3. Initial hardware speed and specs
4. Design/build quality
5. Replaceable battery
6. MicroSD slot

In the years that I've had this phone, I couldn't really find a problem that's exclusive to the N4: Every LED display has burn-in, every phone's battery eventually dies, and every phone slows down as the OS continually updates. I've dropped this thing on tile floors and concrete without so much as a minor scratch. This thing is built tough without having to look like a pile of shit. The N4 is the last good phone in the Note series. Everything after it had no replaceable batteries or MicroSD slots with basically the same internals and screen.

The specs are future-proof as well, but you have to make it so. I haven't done that, and I'm beginning to see the effects that new OS versions toll on your device.

When do you guys recommend that I upgrade? I really don't want to, but this guy is starting to slow down too much.

MIUI is actually my favorite Android skin because I don't use my phone for much and it gives more direct access to many common things. Theme system is better than CyanogenMod. It gets updates every single week for many years so there's always security updates and new UI shit. I always end the day with 40-60% battery left, there is no battery management to do and the screen can just be full brightness all the time if I want. SD slot means I can dump anything on my phone I want whenever without even looking at storage space.

>Hates
I hate that the camera has no stabilization. I rarely want to take low light photos and photos actually come out really well in light, but pictures of my work schedule I always have to make sure I can read it after.

All in all there's no flaw with this phone you can't fix yourself besides the camera in low light.
