I use it on my laptop and I really like it, but it refuses to display on my desktop at any resolution that's not 1024x768. Nouveau works fine on other distros I've tried, but not Debian.

It works well but the community is cancerous and it's made for servers. I might use it again for a home server but for my desktop needs I've switched to OpenSUSE and Mac OS X which just work straight out of the box. Debian is a pain in the ass to set up. How can it be called a modern distro when you need to manually give your users permission for sudo or when you need to hunt down firmware to get your WLAN cards to work? It's little shit like that which makes you feel like you're living in 2004. Debian is terrible for desktops/laptops.

I work with fedora/centos, Ive used arch/gentoo on a few different devices... but I prefer debian based linux systems for their simplicity and community documentation. I mostly used xubuntu based distros like hydrogen or gallium.

on my servers I use debian 64 on 4+ kernel for docker usually.
