Alright let's settle this shit.
iPhone's are for normies and poor people to pretend like they have money.
CERTAIN Android phone's are for people who have money.
Example: Any budget phone like the Moto G series, ANY ZTE phone, etc. are for people who can't afford an iPhone.
Any time someone buys a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge over and iPhone, it's because they have money and they do not care about status.
Think about it, the Galaxy S series has always been more expensive than iPhone's. Why would someone buy a Galaxy S over an iPhone if they wanted to prove a point? They don't. People who buy Galaxy S series phones don't give a shit about money, they want the phone that fits their needs and money doesn't matter therefore status doesn't matter to them.
nobody gives a shit, smartphones are so 2012

Or maybe because it's just a good phone?
Top of the line phones are useless. The only difference between a $180 phone and an $800 one is the camera. It's also been established wealthy people tend to buy cheap stuff because they didn't get wealthy by not caring about money. Anyone buying flagships, no matter the manufacturer, is just trying to appear wealthy.

I use iPhones (more specifically, the SE) because my uses for a phone are very simple.
Texting, email, light browsing, music, and phone calls.Anything more complicated, and I'll bring out my laptop. Built-in broadband modems help me work on the go, and lets me avoid shitty, insecure public wifi.
Fucking about with Android is something I did in college, when I unironically wore cargoshorts or camopants.
I just need something that works, isn't a security nightmare like Android, and doesn't require me to spend hours tinkering with custom ROMs to just get my phone to work.

That gotta smell good.

>running a custom server that can compile apps solely on an iphone
made me 3/10

Both of them are for filthy, tech illiterate normalfags. If you truly cared about privacy you'd use a Replicant supported device. Stupid nigger...

I was looking at getting an SE, upgrading from a 5C - is it worth it?
Apple has a fancy gayish appearance for a starbucks for a hipster and nothing more that can beat Linux/Android in efficiency and flexibility for a techie.

I can afford a flagship of any kind, but its bloody useless, I don't care about my devices much, neither do I wear cases so I buy midrange phones. I don't want to pay €200 for a screen (S7) everytime I shatter it when I'm drunk. Only reason to buy a high-end device is the camera, otherwise its just a statement that you can afford it, no matter the brand. I own a Galaxy A5 and its comfy, redmi4 prime specs with better camera and muh AMOLED pretty much.
