>ITT: Internship Advice
How the fuck do I get an internship? I applied to about 25 companies, received 4 or 5 rejections, havent heard from like 15, and the rest are """"under recruiter review""""
Give me tips to getting my foot in the door
I'm willing to take some garbage $20/hour thing if I must
I'm CompE if that makes a difference
I thought interns work for free

Maybe in europoorland. In America unpaid internships are illegal.

Engineering internships in the US usually pay anywhere from $3k-$10k a month. Of course the higher outliers are the big names like Google and Amazon etc

That's illegal.
The only internships I ever got were from networking events. Granted, I'm was in subsea engineering and it's a lot more "good old boy" mentality I assume.

lmao you're not going to get that much unless you're lucky.
Also apply more, faggot.

20 an hour is actually the lowest I've ever seen for an eng internship
Do you actually have any experience or do you just feel like shitting on people with bright outlooks?
Your resume must suck.
Tailor your resume for each job. It's more than likely an automated screener, so make sure it's in a machine-readable format and make sure to put a ton of emphasis on the points that the job posting is looking for.

well, looks like America wins again. In Yuropoor interns are often unpaid.

20/hr is average for internship. And if you've gone through 25 companies already, you obviously aren't anything special to warrant anything more.

Well, to be fair, in Europe, you have less extraneous expenses
You don't have to travel far, rent isn't fucking $4k a month, you don't finish your degree with 20k-100k worth of debt, etc
