I'm looking for a cheap vesa dual monitor arms that mount from the desk.

The cheapest one I could find was $100 in Canada

You get what you pay for when it comes to monitor arms. I had some 3M arms and they were pretty shit. I ended replacing them a Ergotron and there is a night and day difference.

what about a stand?

Fucking autists

Agreed. I used a cheap one ($60) and after 6 months with only a single 1440p monitor on it was leaning/bending forward. Added an advertised laptop tray and it started bending more. Not coming loose from the edge of the desk, mind you. Bending.

I'm saving up for one for a triple-monitor setup, but not cheaping out this time.

looks like the same shit to me

One is secured the desk and can't tip over, the other isnt. One is easily adjustable, the other isnt.

this looks like itwould just tip forward

I have pic related, cost 25EUR and it's solid as fuck. There's a dual arm version that costs 10EUR more.
I can't comment on the dual arm version, but mine is pretty good. I guess the contact with the desk would be the weakest point with heavy monitors.

I saw the same exact stands sold with the brands "Equip" and "VonHaus".

I'm using a $40 mount with a 24" and 22" monitor and it's fine, even though I've been using it for over a year. The manufacturer is called King Mod Services.

>cant easily adjust vertically
in to the trash it goes
>>
>>59476017
Why would you adjust the height so frequently? Maybe if you're alternating between standing up/sitting down, but then the whole desk should move as well.
>>
>>59476102
To move the TV out of the way when I need to use the desk as a work surface if im fucking around inside one of my computers. It has enough vertical adjustment that I can make the 40" TV go from touching the surface of the desk to have the bottom of the TV be 2' above the surface.

> but then the whole desk should move as well.
they also make keyboard trays you can attach to it

As I said before, you get what you pay for when it comes to arms.

Fair point. I don't need that, but I can see how it can be useful to some.

As everyone else said in this thread: get an ergotron. A monitor stand is sth. you won't replace in years so it makes sense to get a proper one.
I've bought some HP rebranded Ergotron monitor arms about three years ago and are still happy with them. (they were cheaper at the time )
