You can just force windows 10 to use the old photo viewer. All it needs is a registry change if I remember it correctly. Just search online for the steps.

Irfanview is extremely fast. It does seem kinda dated by I find it hard to replace it when it opens in 1 nanosecond. But, they recently made a 64bit version to so it's not that bad.
