Alright /g/ I was wondering if you could help me with some recording tips. Basically I'm incapable of doing tasks without a movie or music in the background. But I don't want these noises in my recordings/teamspeak convo. Is there a program or OBS functions that will allow me to separate gameplay/teamspeak from my desktop? If you can't help could you point me towards a forum that can?
Or, could I have a second channel in my sound settings for window?

Your background movie sound goes through StereoMix (in Realtek audio cards). Can't you point OBS (or Fraps) to capure audio from your mic only? Afaik it's possible.

But then how would I go about picking up in game audio? My issue is that i would like to record the audio of my game without the audio from my browser or VLC player being recorded at the same time. If I set OBS to record just my desktop or just my headset speakers it still records the music im listening to
Voicemeeter.
And I'm 99% sure you can do it in OBS Studio without any extra programs. (OBS Studio is far superior over the standard OBS at this point)

Oh, you won't be eble to do that unless you have two sound cards, or if somehou would be possible to virtualiza a new one. Games go through Stereo Mix as well.
