>firefox automatically suggests download helper, ublock origin and youtube improvment addons within its browser
is firefox /ourbrowser/ ?
No.
>>59454370
Yeah, it's not nearly autistic enough for /g/. You're right.
>>59454370
>he doesn't wear programming socks
>>59454235
Close, it's Waterfox though
Ungoogled Chromium is /ourbrowser/
Its got all the features of chromium without any botnet.
The only bad thing is the slow releases. I'm still at 55.0.2883.95 on Arch, which is behind the stable vanilla chromium version in the repos at 57.0.2987.98

Can you enable Google & the predicion service in it? I know that's botnet but StartPage is just so shit.
>>59454235
<-- You if you use Firefox and aren't a preppy female college student
>>59454689
Not easily. You would have to remove those patches and do your own compilation.
>>59454370
>he doesnt have lucky socks
>>59454689
Startpage has been as good as google was for me? What about it don't you like?
>>59454763
It's quite slow for me (although faster lately), and there aren't any Omnibar or whatever it's called results if I don't know what im looking for. Is there a way to enable that?
>>59454815
I'm sure its possible to implement a third party search engine to do prediction in the omnibox, but I think they would need to specifically support that. I haven't heard of any other browser doing that unfortunately.

>this triggers the firecuck

>Doesn't block third-party cookies by default.
>Has proprietary DRM enabled by default.
>Privacy invasive malware is opt-out instead of opt-in
NO, Firefox is not 'ourbrowser' if anything, it is Brave.
>>59454235
>suggests
lol, FireFox does not do that. Nice botnet you've got there.
>>59455068
>Brave
cuck :^)
>>59455068
>doesn't support addons other than password managers
it's barely even alpha.
>>59455068
This, Brave is based as fuck.
>Go to Netflix after downloading Brave
>Notification pops up explaining me that I need to download this DRM code in order to use the site
>Warns me about the dangers of running proprietary code that can not be audited
>Asks me if I want to download it anyway
It also integrated NoScript. Unlike browsers like Firefox that are pure words, Brave actually has an active approach to defending your security and privacy.
>>59455233
It is in beta stage and there are instructions out there on how to load chrome extensions on Brave.
Those things are coming.
