Hi /g/ I'm looking for a new phone. I would like to have:
- 4.7"-5" screen, no larger than 5.2"
- Android
- Magisk rootable
- USB C if possible
I was looking at the Xperia X compact, but it isn't easily rootable. What are your suggestions?

Direct me to the right place if this isn't the place for this question.

This. Sony was factory-rootable from day one.

All non Chinese phones are easily rootable now a days. Root with Kingroot and then replace the files with the SuperSU or Magisk ones. If that isn't an option then flash TWRP, then stock ROM as a ZIP and then flash Magisk from TWRP. It's not science and the process is worth it if you want a good phone.

Updated from Marshmallow to lollipop, no idea what you're talking about. It's received 6 updates since launch, almost 1 every month.
