Hello /g/, d/ic/k here.
My routine has recently changed, and now I am on the train a significant part of my day.
I have been looking into getting a new laptop.
What laptops are out there, that have good touch pressure and precision for drawing, and can also serve as decent computers for normal daily use?
Thanks in advance.

also, Cintiq standalone tablets if you want to pay out the ass.

I've used each of the surface's except the book and they're all shit for serious artwork.
Doodling and note taking, sure, but trust me it's not comfy to make art on.

>however I have none to compare that I have "looked into"

Go ask /ic/ faggot
/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.

>not a consumer review site
>literally ~2 thinkpad threads/day

is it any good as an actual computer though?

almost everything looks like variations on the surface design, and im not tech savvy enough to know the slight differences.
Surface Pro 4's are pretty nice, TLDR:
+Screen resolution/ IPS Screen quality looks fucking fantastic
+Decent 13.5" Screen size, doesn't feel too small
+Keyboard is actually usable/ Better than most modern consumer-tier laptop keyboards
+Pen works well, 1024 levels of sensitivity, drawing is pretty fun
+Font rendering finally looks amazing with word documents
+Bright screen
~Ok battery life, ~5.5 hours with light use, small wall charger makes up for it though
-Screen flexes under pressure, not the best for drawing
-No dedicated GPU, RAW performance pretty limited with medium loads
-One USB port, might be cumbersome if you don't like dongles
-Limited linux support as expected from a microsoft product
Overall it's pretty great, perfect for university IMO unless you need some more grunt behind your computing experience, Drawing is fun, screen is the main factor though considering at that price range, you're looking at 1366x768 shit TN/ Okay 1080p IPS's
My other recommendation is the yoga 710, pic related, however I think you're missing out on pen digitizer support

It's a computer so yes

Surface pro has 7-9 hours of battery though

You want a regular tablet and a regular laptop. Touchscreens are comfy, but it's shit for drawing unless it's made with drawing in mind (Cintiq or at least iPad pro). Buy a decent computer for daily use without a pen, and you'll have money left for a Wacom tablet.

maybe with WIFI off /75% display brightness

Who the fuck uses 100% brightness? Are you sitting in the sun every day?
>>59433577
what are the benefits of the yoga 710? also are the premium versions (910 and surface book) worth it?
