>Get A+ cert
>looking for a job for over a year now
>finally decided to hit a new low and call recruiting agencies
>all entry level help desk positions require one year of experience minimum
EVEN RECRUITERS WONT TAKE ME IN
WHAT DO I DO
If you have a year experience in something like customer service sometimes those help desk positions find that preferable to a year of computer repair experience.
Any idiot can memorize computer facts, not every idiot can be patient with customers/clients.
Tried Volt? Thats where I started with no experience and I make $500/week after taxes. And I dont even have A+

5 years of customer service and literally running an entire store by myself because the manager doesnt show up. i even do the promotional products and tons of shit with photoshop etc.
I literally just want to leave my job but i dont want to quit without having something else.
1. Set up a printer or something for a friend / cousin / prostitute. Get this person to be a reference.
2. Say you have been doing this for a year. Working on your own hardware surely counts as well.
3. Congratulations, you are a 'freelance computer repair consultant'

i literally have done this already and have been getting paid for it.

Maybe your resume just blows.

i have a friend who just got promoted to DevOps Engineer, he said my resume is better than a lot of resumes that they receive.
I also live in NYC, so i guess that doesnt help due to the amount of people searching.

A few things needed to get a job:
1- The skills you have match the skills needed to do the job
2- You can prove (1)
3- You are better skilled (or are cheaper to hire) than the other candidates applying for the job
Where are you failing?

start sucking dicks off craigslist. ask them for a job.
a degree, cert, or your own "knowledge" means jack shit if you don't have someone willing to help you, either family or friends.
