Anything with lxde. Anything with just a minimal X server and a lightweight windows manager, like openbox.
Also Damn Small Linux and TinyCore Linux.

Because you make Arch yourself, Antergos isn't made by you. Also, Pacman is a pretty decent package manager, it's just the packages that break all the time. Also you didn't list what I said, I said the install process is what kills it. Didn't know I had to list Arch instability on two Arch distros (Arch being one of them).

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

What about openSUSE? Tumbleweed and the Open Build System is cash. YaST is an admin dream and the installer is great. Btrfs and XFS support by default and I've never needed to touch the settings.

OpenBSD or FreeBSD, since you said you want to use your computer, and frankly, GNU makes it hard to do that by shipping a really disgusting userland.

I would use OpenSUSE if the installs didn't completely bloated with un-needed software, if you could just install a minimal gnome or KDE I'd love it because zypper is objectively the best package manager and the devs are fantastic

>>
>>59435834
Void Linux has an installer and it is straightforward to use. I think the live cds with desktop environments will preinstall those aswell so you don't actually have to install anything manually to get a system to just run with a graphical setup.
>>
>>59429805
I've used Arch for over a year and never had a single thing break. This shit is a lie.

Solus.

What's the package format for eopkg? Is Sol going to use the same format?
>>
>>59436344
It's run by a 2 man team and has no packages.
>>
>>59436795
What packages so you need that it doesn't have?
It's got plenty of packages in the software center.

>2 man team
Are you suggesting that's a bad thing? There's a reason Ubuntu and Fedora are such bloated and unstable pieces of shit in comparison to Solus.
>>
>>59436936
Fedora is one of the most stable distributions, have you not used it?
