You can do a mix of this and some complicated chain of offshore companies, so that it would take an enormous amount of resources to find you, and even then it would only be law enforcement, which I don't really think it's a problem unless they release your name to the public.

AFAIK An author that uses a pen name will still have to reveal his name to the publishing company (which is going to keep it from the public because a pen name is something that many writers have, so they don't want to be known as a publishing company that doesn't keep that secret, in order to not scare away writers that want to keep their name from the public).
What you're trying to do is more similar to being the owner of the publishing company itself, which is way harder to do in secrecy.

There must be ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about your whole thing that you don't know like the back of your hand.
Also learn about those that got caught, and learn from their mistakes.
