hey /g/, long time no c://

i am planning on setting up a read only vm permanently connected to an anonymous vpn so i can anonymously browse sites and not worry too much about things leaking if the sites i visit strike back. i'll probably use debian since thats what i always use but i was wondering if there is a good distro to use to keep things as locked down as possible while im running it on my home pc. i've never used qubes or sandboxed distros before so i hoping you gents could give me some suggestions/insight.

There's Debian hardening guides out there you can follow, they're usually pretty thorough

alpine fits the read-only case pretty well
>>
>>59424345
>>59424312
thanks for the tips, ill check out both and see what i find.

does anyone even recommend qubes or something though? seems like its pretty special for keeping things secure, im currently downloading an iso to give it a spin

I wonder if anybody in the village owns a computer
>>

Depends on what you define a "computer". Desktops, laptops, "mobile computers" aka phones?
Anyways, India's solution to poverty is apparently throwing people with zero tech skill at computers, hoping they'll make something of themselves and the country, so there's a big chance there are tons of computers nearby.

had a situation at my job today where the bindi customer support department copy pasted my analysis and failed to change the words correctly

>Hi customer, you have a lot of packetloss in their network
>>
>>59424345
alpine is looking like its going to be my choice since qubes isnt meant for virtualization
>>
no other anons have suggestions or experiences to share for this endeavour? i cant be the only one with a ghost VM
>>
>>59424345
