I set up a remote connection on port 3389 but it stops working after I connect to it once.
I have to reset the internet on the remote computer for it to start working again.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
I know I'm not being super specific, just want to see if I can jog a nog.

What are you using to connect to it? It's might be timing out after a session. Try setting up an automated ping every 30 seconds to see if it stays up.

Using windows built-in RDP.

How long was your longest session and did you get kicked off at any point while connected?

About 40 minutes on my longest session, didn't get kicked off.
If I delete and recreate the NAT rule it starts working again, but as soon as I connect remotely in the following connections stop working (I don't get booted out of the one I'm in)
Try running tsadmin.msc on the host, on the rdp TCP tab check the maximum connections in the network adapter tab. Might be set to 1 and the session isn't terminated when you quickly so when you rejoin it won't let you back in .

Could also be the security level, run gpedit.msc navigate to local policy, computer config, admin templates, windows components, remote desktop services, remote desktop session host, connections set it to 999999 in red max connections allowed.

Sorry auto correct is a nightmare. Meant set it to 999999 for max connections allowed.
Give it back Tyrone.
