Hey I'm working on a project and I was wondering if anyone's seen a pc case with a side panel that could somehow switch from transparent to opaque. Maybe just like a shutter, or something. I dunno. Has anyone seen something like that?

Gut an old shitty LCD monitor, have you ever seen the transparent monitors? Essentially duct tape one to the window of a windowed case,

I have an old shitty LCD I can gut but I don't quite get it.
I want a window that I can look through one second and can't the next.

Are you saying with a transparent monitor I could have it display something then turn off the display and presto?

just search for transparent lcd and you'll see what you want
if the lcd is displaying an all black image, the panel appears to be heavily opaque, but if a white image is shown, it'll be see through.
it's not a new concept, but it's only just starting in the boutique pc space.

Ah ok, might be a little pricey for what I'm doing unless I can find a cheap used one
I've also come up with a low cost alternative that may work better for my project, using the Redi Shade

>tape
>paper
>one second you move the paper, it's now transparent
>next second you unravel the curtain
everyone walk the dinosaur?
