>on a 480
No.
>>59402425
>VR on a 4gb vram card
Literally how
>>59402425
Not bad, either give it to a relative or friend, or sell it for $150.
>>59403151
Well you can do VR on an HD 7970 which has 3GB Vram so.....
The card itself isn't junk but the Gigabyte G1 isn't considered one of the better RX 480 variants. Not bad, just not all that great.
Like others have said, though, 4gb is simply no longer enough. Not just for VR, my R9 Fury suffers massive framedrops in Residen Evil 7 @1080p despite maintaining a steady ~80fps average. thus I have to set textures to medium dispite the GPU being very capable.

it would be n64 tier graphics but at least it just werks
>>59402425
Its the worst rx 480.
>>59404515
Yeah, playing 10 bit mario.
>>59402425
vive is gimmicky shit and rx 480 isn't a great card especially not for VR. for that kind of money you can get a gtx 1080 ti instead
if you were planning on buying a vive i don't see an issue, worst case you buy a better card and sell the 480, getting some of your money back
If it's not the xfx 480 it's not worth buying

>RX 480 4 GB
>VR
Yeah, good luck with that.

More like
>VR at all

I'm playing VR on a 770 with 2GB RAM and worse performance than 480, and it works fine.
