Everyone realized that the underlying architecture was actually great for the server chips. Also AMD stock was surging well before Ryzen was getting hyped up, because of positive earnings reports and a deal with some SV company working on car automation to use their GPUs in AI research.

AMD are doing quite well

I said ages ago when they were sub 2 dollars per stock that it would be a very good idea to invest

and I reckon that given time, the stock will double again within 2 years

The overwhelming majority of this board is too stupid to understand anything about trading. The market always reacts to news, and its usually sheepishly selling. Buy the rumor sell the news is a saying for a reason.
The minor dip in AMD's stock prices had literally nothing to do with reviews of the Ryzen desktop chips.
