Just bought these for some living room speakers. How badly did I goof? Was considering a DTA-120 + Pioneer SP-BS22-LR, but the internet convinced me that the LSR305s are more accurate and have better bass response.
Also speaker general

get the Elac debut 5.1 system or KEF Q series if you have more money
and a Denon AVR-S720W + monoprice cables and banana plugs if you want em.

1. They are five inchers, which produce shitty low end
2. They are cheaply made and the tweeter is a meme
3. They use a bass reflex port, which creates a big resonance in the low end
U done goofed m8
well they are active speakers
which means kinds meh
but you could fuckup much worse

You bought nearfield audio monitors as living room speakers? Yeah, you fucked up badly. Those things should be in your reach when you listen to them.
They are good but probably not for purpose you bought them for.

That is what a hemlholz resonance is for. Op can go for a sealed box or open baffle design and enjoy spending 5x as much for an amp that doesn't shit itself at higher volumes, or, he can go for the best reasonable COMPROMISE, which is what speaker design is and always has been about
Remember that practically everything out there was mastered on monitors that use a vented box design. If you want to be a special snowflake you can enjoy your esoteric DSPs to flatten out your response from your humungous monoblocks or, just be normal and move on with your life
