With ryzen release, intel seems to be dropping prices. I was going to make a ryzen build. Can't trust all of these stupid performance benchmarks on ryzen because bios/chipsets/windows schedulers/compiler optimizations/reviewer shilling. But the intel price drops make it pretty damn tempting to make a known good kaby lake build even though I'd rather back amd.
What do you think /g/

Intel hasn't dropped prices a cent sadly. They don't give a shit about Ryzen because Ryzen is no competition whatsoever.
Well you're right, *intel* hasn't dropped them, but some retailers are dropping the prices on intel parts somewhat coincidentally with ryzen's availability. Same effect though.

Pick what ever better suits your needs, if you don't do something heavily thread-dependent and you are ok with only four physical cores - go with mainstream platform. Or you can wait for r3/r5 and decide from there. If you need more physical cores, wait for skylake-x (or skylake-e or kabylake-x or w/e intel will call their next lineup) and go from there.
