Is this the private key? What's the difference between fingerprint and private key?
I had created an SSH key and then fully restarted my computer. I tried to take this SSH "fingerprint" (pic related but it was a different one that was in use) and add it to my ssh-agent on my computer like so:
eval "$(ssh-agent -s)"
ssh-add -K ~/.ssh/[here's where key went]
It's obviously I was doing something tremendously wrong, but I can't figure out what. If I am trying to add a github SSH key to my ssh-agent, how do I do it?

I needed to have kept my id_rsa file from my previous computer, didn't I?

its not your private key. its a hash of your public key i think and is not a secret

thanks
Fingerprint is used to verify that the key you gave out is the same as the one you have.
