How do I retrieve .S files from my motherboard? Is there anyway to find/read your BIOS to make sure that you dont have a rootkit?
Also, what operating systems do you think are the best to use in terms of security and relevancy. I don't want some obsolete OS.

BIOS is written in assembly and stored on the motherboard

they don't reassamble the bios every time you boot the thing up.

Dunno, but you could just flash the BIOS using an image you're sure is rootkit-free.

It's written in assembly, but still compiled. And yeah, it's stored on the motherboard. It's possible to flash a new BIOS to the motherboard, which means it's possible to access.
