The best I've found is youtube videos.
just disregard all the shilling from the videographer, and watch how the unit functions for yourself.

If you can't parse valuable information out of the average shill review you might just be stupid

Imho a reviewer who actually spends his money on it is going to have more personal bias than a reviewer who received it for free. whether or not they portray that on screen is different, but when you buy something with your own cash your going to have a bias. you're also probably going to be unwilling to dissemble or destroy the unit to properly show the viewers whats what on the inside.
There are a lot of things I own and use regularly that I would rate higher than the average Joe, because its my stuff and I've learned to work with its shortcomings

I make a psychological aggregate of all data, of all information, of all products I'm considering buying.

Then try to find the biggest tittied spokesperson to pitch me their product. If they know what they are talking about? I will buy it on the spot.

Most written reviews are just rephrasing the labels you could read on the store's site and if you are lucky, you might see pictures of some parts of the product.
