Hey /g/ my sister gave me her old laptop because the battery doesn't work anymore. It's a 2009 HP but what can you do, it would still be really good for me. I'm not sure if the battery is dead or if there's a problem with the charging hardware because the battery doesn't keep any charge. What do you think?

probably some of the battery cells are dead, if you dont plan to fix it, cut open the battery and use the cells for portable chargers you could sell, and use the monitor for an extra monitor for any extra build you have. plenty tutorials on it.
