The real kicker for my screen is that it's freesync but AMD has decided to go after the low tier market so I'm kinda fucked for that.

I have a 970 too, going for 144hz 1080p. It does not cut it at all. Especially in star citizen.

I am going to a 1080 after the price drop. Should be overkill but I'm OK with that.
