Just received some really old gadgets from my late grandpa, is any of this stuff rare/ cool? The wooden thing is a "weatherradio/ timekube", how does it work?

The radio weather receiver is worth $30 at most. There's one in Ebay for that, but the dial seems to be un much worse shape.
