How come we have OLED TVs but no OLED monitors?
Not even an OLED laptop.
Why the fuck hasn't Samsung released an 11 inch netbook with a OLED display yet? Don't their tablets use AMOLED?

> Static image burn in
> Inconsistent pixel wear rates lead to artifacts on static images like desktops
> Cost/Yield
Because there are a lot of people still buying shitty (((gayming))) 1920x1080 tn monitors priced over 500$

No there isnt retard
Lenovo and Dell have released OLED laptops. Apparently the technology has problems with brightness and viewing angle. You can't sell a display for premium prices if it's dim and the colors go off as you move your head. If they can't charge top dollar it's not worth their time to invest in developing the technology.

Lol what?

>viewing angles
Remind me again why that's important?
>>59328059
So you can look at your screen
>>59328079
Viewing angles don't affect that unless you're an idiot who uses his screen at a 60° angle.

Because they are on the same tier as audiophiles. Also, how often are you watching static images on your TV?

t. no friends who crowd around your laptop to watch shit.
t. no colleagues who crowd around your laptop to review your work.
t. no collaborators who who crowd around your laptop to observe your genius.
Must suck being so foreveralone anon.
>>59328506
Remind me again why we need more than 30° for any of those.

OLED is fine for TV's where the image is always moving, you never notice the pixel inconsistencies.

How often are you watching static images on your computer?

>what is the taskbar
>what is my constantly-open screenfetch in case of a thread on /g/

Monitor market is always lagging TVs these days, probably because profit margin is lower.
Dell showed a 30" OLED, but it was set to cost $5k and they ended up axing it for whatever reasons.
>>59327480
OLED only have maximum of lifespan of 5 years

>How come we have OLED TVs but no OLED monitors?
You do realize you can use a TV as a monitor? I have a 40" 4K as one.
With that said why the fuck cant I buy non-smart TVs, or similarly sized monitors. I dont want the CIA to be able to spy on me through the microphone in my remote.
>>59329310
Why do you say that like it matters?
>>59327480
Hang on thats not an OLED monitor its a midget tranny wtf??
