any CAF browser (tugabrowser, yubrowser, etc) is better, but they are all closed source afaik and also not as lightweight.
Chromium is open source, but it still has some privacy issues.

Lightning is lightweight, and has adblocking, but general browsing isn't as comfy as on a chromium based browser.

Unironically I let my parents use Brave because it has integrated Adblock though I despise Brave. I also installed Firefox with uBlock origin but updating the repositories are tiresome.

Firefox has uBlock Origin and Decentraleyes though.

Dunno if it's just me, but after an incognito session, Lightning erases all my cookies. So I have to re-login to my sites every time I go back to the regular browsing mode

straight up and down lighting and ff is the only browsers I use on droid
prefer lightning since ff is on the heavy side, which is exactly what I use it for, since lightning sometimes half asses pages
and adaway is the only adblocker you'll ever need
