Just watching the original War Games again, first time must have been in the 90's when I was a lot less computer literate.
Seems a reasonably accurate account of how to hack early computer systems or the logic is possible (apart from a kid having that much hardware which would have cost a fortune). Would /g/ agree?
P.S. Ally Sheedy is so damn hot! I didn't appreciate how much she was begging for a creampie when I was younger either. hhhhhhhnnnnnnggggggggg

Him using the telnet client was enough to satisfy me, honestly. Shows the studio at least did a little research into making it accurate.

Yes cute Ally Sheedy. His hardware was actually kind of getting old for the time of movie release, TRS80 I think it was? came out in late 70s. Also the rest of the setup was completely mismatched stuff. Very budget hackeresque.
Probly wouldn't have cost as much as sheedy's bike.

Pre-telnet by a while.

Just posted this on another thread.
There is Wargames... and then theres the "we've got to get a piece of this" derivative TV show.
Check out the identical hardware (the same hardware possibly) and the numerous 1:1 reproductions of Wargames shots just in the titles alone.
