Because ricertards think that manually downloading 300 programs which take up 500mb of ram and 20GB of disk space yet barely work at all on their own and don't even remotely work together is totally not bloat, unlike installing a single package that allows its programs to work together perfectly and does not have a non-DE alternative for half its top-quality packages, all the while using up less than 200mb of ram and 1gb of disk space.
