I want a laptop along the lines of a Lenovo 910 or HP spectre, but I'm afraid those and other ultrabooks make too many sacrifices for that few less millimeters and grams.
What's a happy medium sub 14 inch laptop that's still portable and light, but with decent key travel and cooling, and is durable? I want touch, don't give a fuck about 2 in 1. Not a gaymer. This will be my only computer and I will be travelling with it a decent amount.
Budget is $1250
use the discount in /tpg/ and get a carbon

is using an employee code when you're not an employee illegal?

x220 tablet

not sure why that would be illegal
i dont think they would put that code in every /tpg/ OP if it was the case that it doesnt fucking work

Thinkpad T470s checks all boxes
If you don't need full-size ethernet, you can go for the x1 carbon which is more expensive but retains all the other properties in a lighter package, and its footprint is akin to 13" notebooks despite the 14" screen
And what does the Spectre lack?
