Since the 1080 ti is coming out I realize my 1060 is now obsolete should I just sell it and save the rest for a 1080?
are you retarded? what part of the 1080ti releasing makes your already very high end, current gen gpu obsolete
>>59295544
>very high end, current gen gpu
It can barely hit 1080p 60 fps on max settings dude.
The gen has nothing to do with it.

The problem here is something on your end, not the card.
>>59295775
>6gb
>implying it utilizes all of that
kill yourself you illiterate retard
>>59295728
>barely hit 1080p 60

Sounds like a shit-tier AyyyMD CPU. I'm running an old ass i7 980 @ 4Ghz with a 1060 6gb and I've yet to come across a game that I can't max out on 1080p 60Hz including current AAA titles.

shut up stupid Nvidiot
>>59295825
Yeah and I bet it looks like total shit too. You need a better cpu if you want your graphics card to actually be used to its potential.

I speak as a GTX 970 and now Fury owner.
It's a bretty gud card and if OP is having trouble at 1080p his config is fucked.

The meme card? Well I guess it's okay for running modern games at ultra but even then games that came out last year can make the 970 choke
That's not how it works kiddo. You comparing a current mid range card to an extermly high end one. If you had something like a 660, then it would be obsolete.

I have a 670 2gb and an i7-2600k and can still play modern AAA games at med to high settings at 60 fps. Tbh games have stagnated for almost a decade now since they're all developed for consoles first and foremost. When I do find a game I want to upgrade for I'll probably just get a second 670 used for $50 and be back to max settings at 60fps for a couple more years.
